In the outskirts of Cusco are the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman. Often referred to as a fortress, more likely it was more for ceremonies and festivals. In the usual Inca fashion, stones stay in place without mortar. This the biggest stone, around 120 tons. It's fascinating to conjecture how they cut these blocks so that they perfectly fit together. And how did they move them to this spot?
