Although having lived in Paris 12 years I was unaware of this annual event...until last Sunday. Dating from the 18th century with a brief hiatus from 1946 to 2009, it honors working women - not CEOs who have broken through glass ceilings but washer women, coal and water carriers, even vegetable preparers. This is the organizer.
