I tagged along with a couple, MBA professors from Delhi who spoke excellent English. They were Hindu and did the temple-entering ritual: Washing hands, touching the stairs on the way up, kneeling before the shrine, receiving sweet water, rice and a red dot on the forehead. I got my first third eye (red dot on forehead)— to see beyond what the usual two cannot.

During the stop at a temple area, they filled me in on a lot of things. Like the fight that was going on below. Evidently, a Sikh had punched a local. A brawl ensued. The locals sent in reinforcements, and the three Sikhs quickly were surrounded with about 75 confreres of the guy who was punched. Exit.
