Coffee needs to grow under trees for shade, so Cuba has great plantations. Cuban coffee is a bit bitter with a char aftertaste, but passes muster for me for its strength (at least in casa's; coffee at a hotel was awful). When I got back to Paris, morning coffee seemed weak.
