China trip

Fifteen of us shared the Sierra Club tour in Yunnan Province along with two leaders from the USA and two Chinese guides, one for the entire tour, another changing with the locality. While I prefer traveling independently – and did two weeks after the tour– it was an excellent introduction. It's great sharing meals and discoveries with others, and all you have to do is show up at the appointed place and time. On the other hand, on my own I regale in having no particular schedule and time to get lost. Granted, I have to research, plan ahead and pay attention all the time, but I find my photos are less hurried and more personalized when not keeping up with a group. That's just my opinion...
